SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYSIS AND OPTIMIZATION

The main problems in the supply chain are created by the differences between the forecasted production volume/mix and the real production volume/mix. The main goal is to reduce this variability and if possible eliminate the differences. The objective is to create a forecast system that only give our suppliers a prediction that will allow them to have the resources ready for future requirements. Actual orders will be generated by the real consumption by the end customer. The key is to find the timeline point that will allow and organization to properly balance forecasting vs. real consumption. Based in this timeline point action strategies will be created and inventory levels, reorder points, buffers, triggers, routes and lot sizes will be calculated across the supply chain. Pull from end customers to suppliers.
